The use of drones is becoming more and more creative and in the case of Skysset, it is used as a tool to solve industry problems, to know the quantity inside "mountains" of material.
We recently entered into a partnership with Skysset, a startup that allows us to calculate the volume of material with the use of drones quickly, accurately and safely.
Antonio, part of the Skysset team, tells us how difficult it is for mass storage companies to know how much material they have.
On its platform you will be able to:
Create inventory reports with volumes segmented by material and location.
Tool to manage information.
Comparison over time
3D viewing capacity
High Adaptability
Cloud information
Works with bulk and scrap materials
No data and user limits
No special computer equipment is required.
In their page you will find the properties of each material in order to make the calculations.
For example, to measure material spread across 6.5 hectares, it will take 10 minutes of drone flight time to take approximately 210 photographs. Two georeferenced layers are displayed, the digital elevation model and the orthorectified plan.
Subsequently, the surface of the material is drawn on the photos taken by the drone. Lastly, the characteristics of the mound are selected; material, density, compaction factor. By clicking next, the cubic meters for this mound will be calculated from the Skysset algorithms.
¡This is a process that takes on average 15 minutes!
So you know, if you want to know how much stuff is in those mountains of material, ¡try Skysset!!
